CM attends a business forum in Bukhara
Chief Minister of Gujarat Mr. Vijay Rupani attended a business form in Bukhara wherein he talked in length about Gujarat’s journey of development in various sectors. He also talked about the possibilities of foreign investments in the state especially in areas of oil and gas, textiles and cottonseed.
A delegation of business from pharmaceutical, textiles, automobile, healthcare and gems and jewelry has accompanied the CM. There is immense scope of development in these sectors in Bukhara. Gujarat is a leading state in cotton production and the CM explored possible areas of co-operation between Gujarat and Uzbekistan in the textile sector due to this. Gujarat is a leader in industrial development in India and the Gujarat Model of Development has become a benchmark for the country.
Uzbekistan’s expertise in production accompanied by Gujarat’s skilled workforce will benefit in the long run. Mr.Rupani talked about various universities such as Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gujarat Forensic Science University, and many others which provide world class education to the youth. “These universities will provide complete co-operation to the students of Uzbekistan for higher education”, the CM said.
Governor of Bukhara, members of delegation from Gujarat, senior officials from the Uzbekistan government in addition to leading businessmen were present during the forum.
