CM attends ‘Mehsul Ma Kranti’ program at Mahatma Mandir
Chief Minister of the state Mr. Vijay Rupani marked his presence at the ‘Mehsul Ma Kranti’ program organised by the Revenue Department in Mahatma Mandir. The event was aimed to highlight the pathbreaking decisions taken by the revenue department of the state government in the last three years.
The CM inaugurated ‘iORA-2.0’ (Integrated Online Revenue Applications) during the event. During his address, the CM said, “ It is imperative to provide efficient services in a fast paced manner to the people. I congratulate the department for ensuring optimum utilisation of technology by switching to digital medium for a number of processes.”
The government is open to make necessary changes in the administrative laws in order to ensure ‘Ease of Living.’ It is important to note that a number of processes have been made online by the Revenue Department which include NA process, land records, ioRA-2, form 7/12 etc. This has eliminated middle men who used to exploit people and brought the citizens in direct contact with the government.
Talking about transparent and progressive governance, Mr. Rupani said, “We must keep people and their welfare at the centre. The government will take more and more people friendly steps in the days to come.” The CM distributed certificates to the beneficiaries during the event.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitin Patel acknowledged the revolutionary decisions taken by the Revenue Department and said, “ Revenue Department of the state government is such that the common people need to avail its services very often. The digitisation of services will be effective in serving the people in a better manner. The launch of iORA-2.0 is a step towards ensuring the same.”
The Vibrant Gujarat Global Business Summits initiated by the current Prime Minister of India and the then Chief Minister of Gujarat Mr. Narendra Modi were instrumental in making Gujarat the Role Model for Development in India. The present administration under the leadership of the sensitive Chief Minister Mr. Rupani is on its toes to ensure that the citizens reap benefits of good governance. The sensitive government has ensured to prevent loss of lives in drought prone Kutch, provided fodder at Rs.2 per kg etc. These are only a few in the unending list of pro-people decisions taken by the government. Revenue Minister Mr. Kaushik Patel said, “ The department has effectively managed the work related to various policies and its related procedure.”
Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue Department Mr. Pankaj Kumar provided details of iORA-2.0. 19 services of the revenue department have been made online under iORA-2.0. Revenue records from 1931 onwards have been made available on the portal through IRCMS, RFMS, e-dhara gARVI. All the applications under E-dhara will be solved in 45 days. 13.07 lakh affidavits, of the last 10 years, have been digitally recorded under gARVI. iRCMS ( integrated revenue management system) takes care of the various cases related to revenue. As many as 1.20 lakh cases were pending in 2015-16 and only 2086 cases remain as of September 2019. The Revenue File Monitoring System will make the department free from pending cases through fast paced solutions of pending ones.
