Gujarat’s high-level delegation holds B2B meeting with
Samarkand counterpart on second day of visit to Uzbekistan
Gujarat’s high-level delegation, led by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, on its second day visit to Uzbekistan today held Business2Business (B2B) meetings with its Samarkand-Uzbekistan counterpart in the presence of Samarkand Governor Erkinjon Turdimov.
Mr. Rupani made a powerful presentation on emergence of Gujarat as a Role Model in India’s development, having become a best investment destination for foreign investors in India, particularly in pharmaceuticals, auto parts, agro-processing and textiles. The Governor hosted a lunch in the honour of visiting Gujarat delegation.
Mr. Rupani who reached Samarkand from Tashkent by High-Speed Bullet Train had detailed discussion with Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry Chairman Adkham Ikramov to explore areas of mutual development between the two.
The Chief Minister next visited the world-class India Study Centre at the Samarkand State University and took interest in the studies at the centre. On the third day of his visit to Uzbekistan on Monday, he is scheduled to meet the Governor of Bukhara and visit Bukhara’s historic tourism projects, tourism zone and tourism eco-system.
