Boulder City, Laughlin and Mesquite Kick−Off the Holiday Season with Family Entertainment and Festive Light Shows

NEVADA It’s the most wonderful time of the year as Boulder City, Laughlin and Mesquite celebrate the start of the season with festive parades, spectacular holiday lights and family fun with Santa Claus.

The upcoming holiday events include:

Start the holiday season with a live reenactment of the Nativity accompanied by musical performances from Boulder City schools and local singers. A living nativity and a Christmas carol sing-a-long will top off the evening.

Boulder City will kick off this year’s holiday festivities with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Frank T. Crowe Memorial Park. Attendees can indulge in hot chocolate while enjoying live entertainment and the magic of the season.

Shop until you drop at the annual Doodlebug Craft Bazaar at the Boulder City Recreation Center, where visitors can peruse toys, jewelry and handcrafted items for the perfect gift for loved ones.

Bundle up with your hot chocolate and cheer on the boats as they parade on Lake Mead. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. and the public can vote for their favorite boat to win a $500 grand prize.

As the sun sets, Santa Claus will make his grand entrance under the twinkling lights of downtown Boulder City. Spectators can line the streets of historic downtown to view the spectacularly decorated and lighted floats, musical performers and more during Santa’s Electric Night Parade.

Take a ride through a winter wonderland during a magical train ride with Santa. The 45-minute unforgettable experience features storytelling, hot chocolate and cookies, and a visit from St. Nick.

Dance, sing and celebrate the holiday season at Don’s Celebrity Theatre at Don Laughlin’s Riverside Resort Hotel & Casino. Paul Auer, Mary Alberts, Rick Shore and Bill Rice come together to rock the house with classic folk music from the ’60s.

Rock around the Christmas tree and ring in the season with The Platters at Don Laughlin’s Riverside Resort Hotel & Casino. Fans can enjoy the holiday hits with the vocal stylings of members Wayne Miller, Adele Galinda Martin, Lance Bernard Bryant and Kenny Williams.

John Mueller’s “Winter Dance Party”® is the official live and authentic re-creation of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper’s final tour and the only tribute show endorsed by the Holly, Valens, and Richardson estates. Each live concert performance includes more than two hours of unbridled, high voltage entertainment featuring all the hit songs of the ’50s era at Don Laughlin’s Riverside Resort Hotel & Casino.

Come one, come all to see the beautiful lights twinkle against the Colorado River hosted by the Laughlin and Bullhead Area Chambers of Commerce. The fun starts at 6 p.m. and is followed by an after-party on Community Park Beach at 7:30 p.m.

Aquarius Casino Resort and Edgewater Casino Resort are spreading holiday cheer with their 11th Annual Christmas Tree Auction benefitting the Feed A Family initiative. Guests and visitors can enjoy the silent auction that will feature 15 decorated and displayed Christmas trees, adorned with festive ornaments, shimmering lights and individual themes.

The holiday season comes to life at Don Laughlin’s Riverside Resort Hotel & Casino for the Anaheim Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker, the classic heartwarming tale of Clara and her Nutcracker doll who changes her woeful winter into a feast in Candyland.
