Bombay High Court Dismisses PIL Filed Against Apex Insurance Consultant Ltd., Restores Confidence in Medical Community

NEW DELHI and MUMBAI, India, June 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Bombay High Court dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging the professional indemnity and risk–management services provided by Apex Insurance Consultant Ltd. (AICL) in March, 2025.

AICL’s leadership welcomed the decision. Looking ahead, AICL will launch a targeted outreach campaign to ensure its doctor clients—and the broader medical community—have accurate information about this outcome. The company plans direct communications, webinars, and updated digital content to clarify the facts, counter any residual misinformation, and reinforce its promise of reliable, ethical service.

Commenting on the verdict, Mr. Rajkumar, Vice President, Sales, AICL, said, “This judgment validates that our services consistently meet the highest standards of professionalism. We remain dedicated to supporting India’s doctors and healthcare institutions with robust risk–management and indemnity solutions.”

The petition, lodged in 2022 by a practicing advocate, alleged that AICL’s free services to doctors amounted to unethical practice and harmed the legal profession. After three years of hearings, the Court found no substantive legal basis for these claims and struck the case out in its entirety. Following the PIL filing, reports suggesting that AICL had already been found at fault continued to circulate, creating uncertainty among doctors and hospitals. The High Court’s verdict now removes any lingering doubt about the company’s integrity and reaffirms its commitment to fair, transparent service.

With its reputation vindicated, Apex Insurance Consultant Ltd. is positioned to continue expanding its suite of insurance and risk–management products for the medical sector, helping doctors and hospitals focus on patient care without any concern for legal challenges.
