Kia Corporation is celebrating multiple victories at the prestigious Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2025. Winning a total of five awards across four categories, the success demonstrates the company’s continued dedication to enhancing customer engagement and affinity through physical and digital experiences.

Kia claimed two accolades in the Spatial Communication category, for its Kia Design Philosophy Artwork Exhibition – Opposites United and the Kia Exhibition Booth at ICN Airport’ projects. These were followed by additional wins in the Interface & User Experience Design category for the Kia AI Assistant,’ the Fair Stands category for the Kia PV5 Story booth at Seoul Mobility Show 2025,’ and the Film and Animation category for the Kia PV5 Adventure Brand Film.

Kia Design Philosophy Artwork Exhibition – Opposites United

Since 2023 Kia’s design philosophy, Opposites United, has been evolved into multiple cultural and artistic expressions through a series of global exhibitions. Collaborating with a diverse range of artists, the Kia Design Philosophy Artwork Exhibition showcased experimental works and performances themed around Opposites United. With the exhibition space itself designed as part of the display, maximizing the artistic message while creating a venue for both art and brand interaction, the event introduced audiences to the brand’s design philosophy through immersive media art installations, bold and innovative works and dramatic spatial transformations.

Kia Exhibition Booth at ICN Airport

Kia’s Incheon Airport booth redefined brand engagement with an open form and immersive media content, creating a brand communication platform. Developed with Seo Architects, the cantilever structure paired with perforated super mirrors and LED visuals to evoke excitement for new journeys among visitors. Under the concept ‘Movement to Inspiration,’ this fusion of spatial design and media content positioned the booth as not merely a display area for vehicles, but an immersive platform for brand communication.

Kia AI Assistant

Kia’s AI Assistant Design offers a simple yet dynamic interface across multiple touchpoints, visually expressing Kia’s ethos of inspiring every movement. The design, based on the Kia logo, features a simple shape which acts as a living and interactive entity during conversation. It is applied across various customer touchpoints, such as the in-vehicle voice assistant and chatbots, providing an exciting yet cohesive method for users to interact with their vehicles.

Kia PV5 Story @ Seoul Mobility Show 2025

At Korea’s largest mobility event, the Seoul Mobility Show, Kia partnered with Playmobil to effectively communicate the PBV concept by showcasing the Kia PV5’s diverse applications and the PBV ecosystem through an engaging customer experience. A PBV Town, featuring Playmobil characters to illustrate the PBV ecosystem, was supported by interactive content such as Kia x Playmobil merchandise, a stamp tour and a digital Gacha Machine, as well as the specially commissioned PV5 Adventure Brand Film.

Winning an award alongside the PV5 Story stand on which it was displayed, PV5 Adventure was a 3D animated brand film featuring Playmobil characters to showcase PV5’s versatile applications (WAV, logistics, business and leisure). Delivering the PBV concept in a clear, intuitive and emotionally engaging way for customers, it earned strong media and visitor acclaim, effectively amplifying Kia’s innovation and the launch of its user-centric PBV.
