20 February 2025 – The Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 today revealed a vibrant and inclusive new motto, “IT’s Your Vibe”, which places people at the heart of the Games.
Unveiled during the World Broadcasters Meeting in Milan, the motto encompasses the shared nature of the Games, aiming to celebrate the energy, passion and connection between every person associated with Milano Cortina 2026: athletes, fans, volunteers and many more.
More than just a motto
The motto has been specifically chosen because of its versatility.
“IT” symbolises Italy, the host country, where the “vibes” of Milano Cortina 2026 are already being felt.
“IT’s Your Vibe” can also celebrate the athletes’ talent by transforming into “IT’s Talent – IT’s Your Vibe”; highlight innovation by becoming “IT’s Creativity – IT’s Your Vibe”; or convey the emotion of the Games that connects both athletes and fans as “IT’s Energy – IT’s Your Vibe”.
The motto can even be adapted to the host cities or sports: “IT’s Milan – IT’s Your Vibe”, “IT’s Cortina – IT’s Your Vibe”, “IT’s figure skating – IT’s Your Vibe”, etc.

For the first time in Olympic history, the motto is not just a phrase but a communications system that adapts to every person, sport and venue, making everyone feel part of the world’s greatest sporting event.
The Milano Cortina 2026 “Vibes” were already present in the visual identity revealed by the Organising Committee last year, when it launched its “Look of the Games” and sports pictograms. The visual identity was inspired by Italian energy, enthusiasm, inclusiveness and talent. Through the motto, these can now be shared with and by every person associated with the Games.
Spirit of the motto is already alive
The spirit of “IT’s Your Vibe” is already evident ahead of Milano Cortina 2026, with various initiatives taking place to ensure the Games enrich as many lives as possible.
With just under a year to go until the Opening Ceremony, the second edition of Winter Games Week provided 240,000 schoolchildren from across Italy with classroom learning and physical activity that promoted the Olympic and Paralympic values.
The Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 will take place from 6 to 22 February 2026, and the Paralympic Winter Games from 6 to 15 March.
