Third round of the one-make championship reserved for Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 in Belgium
Sant’Agata Bolognese/Spa, 24 June 2025 – The 2025 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe season reaches its mid-way point this weekend as the one-make championship reserved for the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 returns to the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium.
A mainstay on the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe calendar since the inaugural season in 2009, the 7.004km circuit in the heart of the Ardennes region has produced many dramatic moments over the years and will host 33 cars for a pair of 50-minute races. After a year away, the series returns to the support bill of the 24 Hours of Spa, which will take place on Saturday.
Geraci and Knopp still in front as Bonduel set for series return
Following a consistent start to the season, Oregon Team pairing Enzo Geraci and Josef Knopp lead the Pro standings by 17 points ahead of the Target Racing duo of rookies Patrik Fraboni and Giacomo Pedrini. With two victories (one overall and one in class) and a further pair of top five finishes, Geraci and Knopp head into the third round of the year with momentum on their side. Sitting third in the standings, three points behind Fraboni-Pedrini, is the Uniq Racing entry of Jerzy Spinkiewicz. The young Polish driver has two podiums to his name in 2025 but failed to score in the second race at Monza following opening-lap contact with another car. Target Racing’s Guido Luchetti, another solo entry in the Pro field, is just a point behind Spinkiewicz and a point ahead of VSR’s Adam Putera and Paul Levet. The latter duo picked up their maiden race win in the series last time out at Monza and are tied on 26 points with Rexal Villorba Corse’s Benedetto Strignano.
Leipert Motorsport will also be aiming to bounce back after a difficult Monza weekend, with Swiss racer Pablo Schumm again driving solo in the #88 machine. Anthony Pretorius and Silas Lovén Rytter line up once more in the #99 Huracán while Månz Thalin and Calle Bergman – who were in the hunt for victory in race two at Monza – resume their partnership in the #44 car. Last year’s Pro champion and 2023 Lamborghini World Finals winner Amaury Bonduel is set to make a comeback to the championship, alongside compatriot Kai Rillaerts in the #57 BDR Competition Huracán. Bonduel won both races on the series’ visit to Spa last season.
Dimitrov and Guerin aim to continue unbeaten Pro-Am streak
The stand-out crew of the year so far has undoubtedly been the #13 CMR pairing of Georgi Dimitrov and Stéphan Guerin, who have claimed two overall victories in the opening two rounds of the year. The Anglo-French pairing hold a commanding 22-point margin over the BDR Competition duo of Dimitri Enjalbert and Anthony Nahra. Consistency is on Enjalbert-Nahra’s side this season, but a first win of the year has so far eluded the #74 crew. Third in the standings is the Boutsen VDS combination of Renaud Kuppens and French rookie Hugo Bac, two points ahead of Miloš Pavlović and Alessio Ruffini (ASR). Having moved up to the Pro-Am category at Monza, Shota Abkhazava is again partnered by 2024 Lamborghini World Finals Pro winner Egor Orudzhev at Art-Line.
VSR hold the advantage with Randazzo and Tribaudini in Am
With three wins from four races at the start of the season, defending Am class champions Piergiacomo Randazzo and Stéphane Tribaudini (#66 VSR) hold a three-point margin at the top of the standings heading into the weekend but are well-placed to extend their lead with chief rival Adrian Lewandowski (#5 GT3 Poland) not present this weekend. The nearest challengers to Randazzo and Tribaudini, therefore, is the Oregon Team duo of Pietro Perolini and Massimo Ciglia, who sit third in the standings. After missing the first two rounds, Petar Matić returns to the championship alongside Paolo Biglieri in the #32 ASR machine. Consistency has been the key for Aldredo Hernandez Ortega (#77 BDR Grupo Prom) and has allowed the Mexican to sit just 13 points behind Ciglia-Perolini. Competing on home soil and eager to stand on the podium will be Rodrigue Gillion in the striking Belgian flag liveried #27 CMR machine.
Still all to play for in Lamborghini Cup
Just 11 points separate the top five crews in the Lamborghini Cup heading into the weekend, with Claude-Yves Gosselin taking a slender three-point margin into the pair of 50-minute races over Rexal Villorba Corse team-mate Karim Ojjeh. Gosselin has yet to win a race this season, but three podiums from four races versus Ojjeh’s two wins have given the experienced Frenchman the edge. Close behind is the #90 GT3 Poland entry of Holger Harmsen, who, with a win at Monza, is now just two points adrift of Ojjeh and eight off the lead. Two points further back from Harmsen is the third Rexal Villorba Corse Huracán of Donovan and Luciano Privitelio. Completing the top five in the standings is Oregon Team’s rookie Adalberto Baptista, the Brazilian has enjoyed a strong start to his LB Cup campaign, winning at Paul Ricard and taking a further podium last time out at Monza.
The weekend at a glance
Following the traditional Spa 24 Hours parade on Wednesday, competitive action kicks off on Thursday morning with the first of two free practice sessions before qualifying is held on Friday morning. The first 50-minute race is then scheduled to take place on Friday afternoon, with race two preceding the Spa 24 Hours itself on Saturday afternoon.
Lamborghini Squadra Corse is also strongly represented in the Spa 24 Hours, with six cars set to do battle in the around-the-clock endurance event. In total, six Lamborghini Factory Drivers will contest the race: Jordan Pepper, Mirko Bortolotti and Luca Engstler will take the wheel of the #63 GRT – Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2, while Sandy Mitchell, Marco Mapelli and Franck Perera will race in the #163 VSR machine.

About Lamborghini Super Trofeo
Since its inaugural season in 2009, Lamborghini’s one-make GT series has become one of the most popular and competitive training grounds for professional and amateur drivers alike. Reserved for the 5.2-litre V10 naturally aspirated Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 which produces an output of 620hp, the championship is disputed over six rounds, culminating in the traditional season-ending Lamborghini World Finals where it competes against the North American and Asian championships on the same weekend.
Each race weekend consists of two one-hour practices followed by a pair of 20-minute qualifying sessions. Two races of 50-minutes are held over the weekend, with each featuring a mandatory pit-stop, to be taken between the 20th and 30th minute. Solo driver entries have a minimum pit-stop time of 63-seconds, while two-driver cars must be stationary for 60-seconds. All four classes: Pro, Pro-Am, Am and Lamborghini Cup race alongside each other but fight for separate titles, ensuring competitive action right through the field.
