Cummings received his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Gardner-Webb University and his Bachelor of Science in biomedical studies from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Cummings is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and holds Diplomate Fellow status with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
