St Moritz, Switzerland, 11 February 2025: As the postponed White Turf opening weekend wraps up, featuring culinary excellence, Genesis ‘son-nim’ hospitality, and thrilling horse racing in the snow-capped mountains of St. Moritz, Genesis reflects on a remarkable White Turf weekend.
With Genesis proudly returning as a principal sponsor for the fourth consecutive year, White Turf attracted over 9,000 spectators throughout the weekend, as the brand brought its signature ‘son-nim’ hospitality to the frozen Lake St. Moritz. All visitors were also offered the chance to experience first-hand the all-electric GV60 and Electrified GV70 premium SUV models on the ice in the Genesis public lounge.
During the postponed White Turf opening weekend of February 8th and 9th, Genesis hosted an exclusive four-hands dinner at The View restaurant at Hotel Grace La Margna, a Genesis partner hotel, alongside a signature culinary experience at the Genesis VIP Lounge in the White Turf event village.
Michelin-starred Chef Dominik Hartmann, a Genesis Motor Switzerland Brand Partner, teamed up with Grace La Margna Hotel Executive Chef Andrea Bonini to create a menu that brought alpine-inspired ‘son-nim’ hospitality to guests.
The exclusive vegetarian menu offered a unique twist on traditional local winter ingredients like pumpkin, beetroot, and carrot. Chef Hartmann’s exceptional reputation for vegetarian cuisine at Restaurant Magdalena has earned him two Michelin stars, 18 GaultMillau points, and one Green Star. Notably, he has also been recognised as “Aufsteiger des Jahres” (Rising Star of the Year) in the GaultMillau guide in 2023 and 2025.
Recently appointed Genesis Magma Racing driver and three-time Le Mans champion André Lotterer was welcomed as a guest of honour at the event. Lotterer, a passionate food enthusiast who enjoys cooking and fine dining in his spare time, will lead the development of Genesis’ GMR-001 LMDh car for the 2026 WEC and IMSA series alongside teammate and two-time IMSA champion Pipo Derani. He was spotted taking in the scenes of the event, fully immersed in the culinary experience and the exciting horse racing on the frozen lake.
Genesis will also be present next weekend, February 16th and 17th, at White Turf for the closing race weekend, featuring the Grand Prix Genesis. The Genesis Public Lounge will also be showcasing the fully electric GV60 and Electrified GV70, where visitors can enjoy signature Korean tea and sweets while experiencing Genesis’ EV-powered luxury and innovation.
