Moving minds together: ASICS welcomes Tom Evans, one of the world’s top trail running athletes, to its growing team of elite athletes.
[23 January 2025 – Hoofddorp, The Netherlands] – ASICS is proud to announce the signing of British ultramarathon runner Tom Evans. United by the belief in the power of sports on body and mind, Tom will now represent ASICS on the trail circuit, bringing his dedication, energy, and expertise to the brand.
Tom Evans (1992), a former British Army Captain, first gained international recognition in 2017 when he secured third place in a 251km desert ultramarathon in Southern Morrocan Sahara. Despite entering the race on a bet with a friend, his remarkable performance marked the highest finish by any European in the event’s history.
Eight years later, Tom has become a seasoned competitor with a record of pushing boundaries and notable victories under his belt, including top finishes at prestigious events such as the UTMB (Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc) and the CCC (Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix). His perseverance, discipline and the ability to overcome adversity have helped him build an incredible career on the trails.
