Moving minds together: ASICS welcomes British sprinter Louie Hinchliffe to its growing team of elite athletes.
[30 January 2025 – Hoofddorp, The Netherlands] – ASICS is proud to announce the signing of Louie Hinchliffe, one of the rising stars in British sprinting. The 21-year-old from Sheffield, currently studying at the University of Houston, has had an explosive rise in the world of athletics, capped off by his impressive performances in 2024.
This summer, Hinchliffe made history at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, where he clocked a blistering 9.95 seconds in the 100m, becoming the fastest European to win the title. His performance placed him sixth on the UK all-time list and was the ninth-fastest time in the world that year. Hinchliffe continued his remarkable form, securing a gold medal at the UK Athletics Championships in Manchester, earning a place in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Making his Olympic debut in Paris, Hinchliffe impressed with a stunning first-round victory, beating some of the world’s best sprinters. He ultimately helped Team GB secure a bronze medal in the 4x100m relay, solidifying his reputation as a fierce competitor under pressure.
